Major Structural Composite Sailplane Repair on a Grob 102

This major repair is one of Mansberger Aircraft's early repairs completed in Minden, Nevada.
The sailplane fuselage impact damage was the result of mid-air collision with the wing of an Aero Commander. No one was hurt!

Impact damage on left side of fuselage
just aft of wing attachment.
 Damaged skins removed and
fuselage supported in fixture .
 Sectioned and partial internal
support skins are bonded in position.
  Final fiberglass layers applied to sailplane by Mansberger Aircraft Sailplane repair on Grob 102 completed by Mansberger Aircraft  
  After scarfing, the final external
fiberglass layers are applied.		 Sailplane repair complete;
Grob 102 returned to service.
